Litter Y of British cat Orista

Welcome three wonderful kittens from our stunning queen, Galeksy’s Orista (TICA Champion and a proud representative of the finest golden British cats breeding program worldwide). The litter includes two long-haired kittens, Yarik (male) and Yule (female), along with a short-haired male, Yoko. These little ones are just starting to explore the world, full of curiosity and wonder. Their mother is doing an exceptional job caring for each kitten, showering them with love and attention.

On our end, we ensure that both the queen and her kittens are as comfortable as possible. Orista has her own private room, completely separate from the other adult cats in our cattery. This special area provides a peaceful environment where she can focus on nurturing her kittens during their early stages of life. Once the kittens are about six weeks old, they move with their mother to a different room. Here, they gradually get introduced to a few other cats with gentle personalities. By the time they reach three months of age, the kittens are either ready to move to their new homes or integrate into the main area with all the other cats in our cattery. This step-by-step process helps them smoothly adapt to life with other felines, preparing them for adulthood. (For more details on our kitten-rearing approach, stay tuned for a dedicated article coming soon!)

At one month old, our kittens have just gotten on their feet and are transitioning to solid food. At this stage, the mother starts litter training them as well. The kittens are becoming playful and increasingly engaging by the day. As of now, Yarik seems to be the most active one in the litter. He is slightly larger, got on his feet sooner, and is already eager to try pâté. The others are quickly catching up, becoming more and more curious and active.

Our long-haired kittens, Yarik and Yule, are vibrant representatives of the British Longhair breed. Yoko, our short-haired kitten, has a plush undercoat and softer fur compared to the usual British Shorthair, though it’s still too early to predict the final texture and coat quality as their fur is still developing. However, it’s already clear that these kittens exhibit the premium traits of their breed, destined to be outstanding representatives of their lineage.

We take great pride in ensuring that every kitten raised in our cattery receives the best care and environment to develop into healthy, social, and loving pets. These kittens are not just beautiful in appearance but have the temperament and personality to match.
